Documentation in this section covers: detailed information about PA’s elections data in wire format and in XML format for all polls covered; and descriptions of XML messages for some specific types of poll – UK general elections, Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly elections (under FPTP and PR Top-up XML), local council elections, and referendums.
In addition, examples of live XML from historic polls as well as XML from elections tests can be found under Example XML. Note that there are important differences between test and live versions and that sometimes changes may have been made to the schema since a particular historic poll.
