Elections May 2026

The Press Association will provide a data service including nominations data, results rushes, detailed results and statistics for all the elections taking place in May 2026. They comprise the Scottish Parliament, with 129 MSPs elected in 73 first-past-the-past constituencies, and eight regional seats; and the Welsh Parliament election, with 96 members elected from 16 constituencies under a new voting system. These are the first Scottish and Welsh Parliament elections since 2021. There are also elections for 136 councils in England, and for six mayorals in England.

Polling day is May 7.

The Press Association will be running full tests of all the elections taking place on May 7 on Friday May 1, starting at around 11am and lasting around four hours. There will be limited tests on Wednesday April 29, Thursday April 30 and Tuesday May 5, starting around 6.10pm.
