Voting takes place on May 4 2023 in 230 councils in England. The first results are expected just after midnight on Friday May 5, and results are likely to be announced until late that evening. NO councils will count on Saturday May 6 because of the King’s Coronation, but some councils have allocated a contingency day on Sunday May 7 in case they need it.
