Seats up
English local authority elections take place on four-year cycles. Some councils have a single poll once every four years when all seats are up for election, others have polls in three of the four years with a third of the seats up each time and a few have polls for half the seats every two years. Sometimes all-up elections take place following boundary changes or council mergers.
Details of which councils have elections that are all-up, by thirds or by halves will be provided here in due course.
