Scottish Parliament By-election: Dunfermline
Dunfermline goes to the polls in a Scottish Parliament by-election on Thursday October 24 following the resignation of former SNP MSP Bill Walker after being convicted on counts of domestic abuse.
Polling is from 0700 to 2200.
The Dunfermline by-election will be in the first-past-the-post constituency.

2011: SNP maj 590 (2.01%) - Turnout 29,299 (52.81%)
Walker (SNP) 11,010 (37.58%); Rowley (Lab) 10,420 (35.56%); Tolson (LD) 5,776 (19.71%); Reekie (C) 2,093 (7.14%)
The result is expected early on Friday October 25 at an estimated time of 1am but could be later if there is a recount.
When the result is declared a rush will be sent giving the winning party, slugged POLL Dunfermline, followed by the constituency serial number – 1. It will be category-coded XTJ. Example: POLL Dunfermline 1.
This will be followed by the result carrying the same catchline and category-coded XDB for data format and XTB for TTY.
It will give details of party hold or gain from another party, followed by candidates in votes order, giving their votes, percentage share, percentage share change since the 2011 election, plus majority, percentage majority, swing from the 2011 election, turnout, percentage turnout and turnout percentage change since 2011.
The swing will be between the winning party and the losing party if the constituency changes hands and between first and second candidates where there is no change.
The result will also be transmitted in TTY only in the Press Association general service, catchlined POLL Dunfermline Result and category-coded HHH.
